Sustainability, safety, and a concern for the environment peppers everything that we do. This is seen in our growing process.

Water and fertilizer use

Our hydroponics plants are grown in a natural substrate of cocopeat, which is available throughout Thailand.

State-of-the-art technology quantifies and minimizes water irrigation and fertilizer usage through a computer-controlled fertigation system. Excess water is collected and recycled in various ways, further reducing costs and minimizing the environmental impact.

The result? Lanchang Farm uses an estimated 82% less water than comparable operations by farmers growing produce using other methods.

Greenhouse hydrophonics is the future of farming, and Lanchang Farm is leading the way.

Land Preservation

Because hydrophonic farming uses coconut fiber rather than soil, soil erosion and loss of precious soil nutrients is not an issue.

Hydrophonic farming yields up to ten times more greenhouse produce than conventional farming methods, so land is used economically and efficiently.

Food Safety

As hydroponics use the closed and controlled environment of a greenhouse, with its strict sanitary procedures limits, there is less of a need for excessive chemicals to control pests and disease.

Lanchang Farm follows The Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), which address important food safety issues such as water and nutrient use, pest control, cooler operations, and harvesting practices, packaging, storage, and transportation, so customers can be assured that Lanchang Farm produce is of the highest standard available on the market today.
